都市を舞台、イマーシブシアターの可能性を考える「創造的な散歩」シリーズ。現代詩の父・萩原朔太郎は散歩を愛し、晩年は下北沢の町を毎日散歩しながら詩の世界に思いを馳せていたという。本作は、彼の書いた短編小説「猫町」を原作として、町の風景と彼の詩を交えながら、朔太郎の散歩を追体験する作品。耳から聞こえる詩人の声に導かれ、小田急線世田谷代田駅の地下室にある「猫町」へと迷い込む。アーツ前橋で開催中の「ゴースト展」との連作。50万人が訪れたアートフェス「下北沢ムーンアートナイト 2025」出展作品。
A “creative walk” series that explores the possibilities of immersive theatre within the city itself. Hakushū Kitahara—known as the father of modern Japanese poetry—loved to walk. In his later years, he wandered the streets of Shimokitazawa daily, drifting into his inner poetic world. Inspired by his short story Cat Town, this work allows audiences to retrace his footsteps, weaving together the town’s landscape with his poetry. Guided by the poet’s voice, listeners find themselves slipping into “Cat Town,” hidden beneath Setagaya-Daita Station on the Odakyu Line. Presented as a companion piece to the Ghost Exhibition at Arts Maebashi, and featured at Shimokitazawa Moon Art Night 2025, an art festival that drew over 500,000 visitors.
